[vc_row type=”vc_default”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Public relations agency PR Media Now helped crowdfunding clients raise nearly $10 million in 2017 – totaling above $45 million for crowdfunders over the last five years. PRmediaNow was also recognized with several PR industry awards for its crowdfunding PR in 2017.
“Looking at the consistently high levels of funding our clients received this year, crowdfunding continues to grow as a viable product launch option for early-stage companies, creators and innovators to attract funding to take their products from idea to commercialization,” said PRmediaNow Principal Colin Trethewey. “We want to thank our clients for giving us the opportunity to share their innovative product stories with influential media and their respective audiences and followers around the world.”
PRmediaNow, which provides non-crowdfunding public relations services as well, has become a leader in crowdfunding PR – helping to raise $9.9 million for about 40 crowdfunding clients in 2017 alone.
The firm’s top-funded crowdfunding clients in 2017 included Nomatic travel bags ($2.9 million), the HEXAD/WANDRD Duffel ($893,000), the Cubibot 3D printer ($648,000), the HOPii home craft beer brewing device ($388,000) and the X-Suit ($362,000) – which became the most-funded suit in Kickstarter history.
PRmediaNow was recognized for several campaigns by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in 2017. It received a PRSA Sunshine District Radiance Award for Best Media Relations Tactics for helping to raise $1.1 million for the FaceCradle travel pillow, along with a PRSA Tampa Bay PRestige Award of Excellence in Media Relations for that same campaign, and another PRSA Prestige Award for its Nomatic campaign.
PRmediaNow worked with a wide variety of crowdfunding clients in 2017, promoting products ranging from travel accessories, earbuds, audio devices, cameras, drones, apparel, home appliances, tech gadgets and many other innovative products.
“We’ve found the most successful crowdfunding campaigns introduce products that solve a common problem for consumers with an innovative solution,” Trethewey said. “From an underwater camera drone, to a modern suit that repels water and stretches for easy movement, the most popular products meet a need that crowdfunding backers will fund to production through their financial support.”
